@DTJBsd I doubt this one would have, seeing A Celebration is one of their lowest ever-charting singles.

You’d be surprised how many B Sides get air play.

@DTJBsd It’s a b-side, deliberately sung in a lazy tone and style – what’s the point of giving his usual 110% when nobody’s going to play it on the radio?

its the b side to a celebration, the choking is emotion u idiots, and its post boy AND october. spring 82 .get it right , u can get the facts before you lot start talking absolute shite, knobheads, this song is from the same mindset as tomorrow, october,, from the singers heart and soul

TRASH not Thrash

I think this is even before the live performances of the early 80’s, this is very raw and unprocessed, which is how U2’s first few albums sounded, have you listened to Boy or October? I wouldn’t be surprised if this came out even before those albums were pressed and released.

I remember in a video biography, the other members said they thought Bono wasn’t that good of a singer when they first started out. I can clearly hear why. Good song either way and it shows a great band at their infancy.

Bonos voice sounds tired here, kinda gives the song an edge. Anyways, I love it, classic U2.

No Red Rocks, no Joshua Tree, THIS is the best version of this song, without doubt. Love it!
SixDayWar67 on March 5, 2010 at 5:33 pm

Franckdatankpart2 on March 5, 2010 at 6:03 pm
