I personally am not planning anything! I told my MOH her and the BM new the best and I gave them free run to do as they please for both the bridal shower and bachelorette party. I don’t even know when they are or what were doing but I know I having both..lol…..I only asked one thing that there was no strippers! I don’t mind seeing a show (like in Vegas), but house strippers are gross!!

I think you picked your bridal party for a reason they know you best and are the most helpful to you! Let them plan it! If you planned it be more like you were bridezilla telling them this is what they have to do!!

My best friend is getting married 4 days after me this summer and we are the MOH in each others weddings so we decided to do a double bachelorette party, we’ll use both are suggestions.

When I was the MOH in another wedding I planned the bachelorette party but I got input from the bride in what she wanted.

It’s pretty tacky to plan your own party. Sorry!! I just don’t think it’s done very often, nor should it be done.

Also, a whole weekend away is a great bachelorette party!! Wow. I think it’s an awesome idea – I can’t believe they did that for you because not too many friends would do that. My bf planned to stags last summer and planned weekend trips away for both. That’s party enough for me, if you want my opinion. I hope you’re not disappointed.

I’m kind of organizing mine, but only because my finace and I really don’t want bachelor or bachelorette parties so we’re just getting everyone together to go out for a night as a big group. So I’m just picking a day and a place and telling people….not much planning involved!

Edit: The best thing about this honestly is nobody is stuck spending a lot of money, they can just pay for themselves, it’s expensiive enough to be in a wedding…I mean if they wanna buy me a drink I wont complain lol, but overall it should be a fun, inexpensive evening.

I’m organising my own, because I have friends from different places and walks of life. I also want to make sure there’s something for everyone, so am planning activities I know will be liked by everyone. I have put aside an entire week though, and I know a lot of women don’t have this option. I say do whatever will give you more fun. I personally prefer to know what’s going on! Hen do’s in the UK have become tacky and cheap; the perfect way to humiliate the bride. It’s fine for some girls, but not my thing.

In response to you hearing about lots of brides organising their own; I was already starting to organise mine when I realised it was the MOHs job! Whoops, but my entire wedding is non-traditional, so now wouldn’t be a good time to start changing that!
