Is someone you know graduating? Are you looking to throw a perfect graduation party for them? It is not that hard to throw a great party, but you have to plan it in advance. In fact, when you plan it in advance you will save yourself a lot of time and money in the long run. For example, when you plan in advance, you can buy all of your party supplies, invitations, decorations, party plates and utensils and party banners online. This way you can save money and will be able to choose from many different options.
We have come up with a plan of action to help you create a plan to throw the perfect graduation party for your graduate. Use these ideas to create your own fabulous graduation party:
- Decide when and where to hold the party.
- Decide what kind of a party it is going to be – formal or informal.
- Decide on the theme for the party. Many graduation parties have the obvious theme, graduation. Others may be centered around a certain character or cartoon.
- Decide how many people you are going to invite to the graduation party.
- Decide on what you will be serving at the graduation party, what kind of food and beverages you will have, etc.
Now comes the fun part – you can now get fun party supplies, decorations, party hats and other things to make your party fun! You should coordinate your party supplies, so you may want to buy as many of them together as possible, so that all of them are coordinated.
Now it is important that you already made some of the party decisions, such as where you will hold the party, how many people will be attending and what the theme will be, because now you will be using this information to get party supplies.
- Based on what you decided for your party theme, you should get party invitations, and you should get enough for everyone you are planning on inviting.
- Then you should get a party banner, balloons and the table centerpieces. You can also get a piñata for the party. Remember, they should all coordinate with your party theme and each other.
- Now you can get your other party supplies – party plates, forks, spoons, glasses, tablecloths, etc. Remember to coordinate these party supplies with your overall party theme and each other.
- Don’t forget to have fun!

Super Mario parties are based on the ever popular Super Mario Bros video game. The video game depicts Mario and Luigi on their quest to save the Princess, Princess Peach. To host a great Super Mario Party you need to have decorations, party favors, games and a cake. These are the essentials necessary for any great party and are definitely needed for a Mario party.
The decorations can be as simple or complex as you make them. If your child’s favorite character is Mario then the colors of choice are red, yellow and blue whereas if he’s a Luigi fan then throwing some Green in the mix will be important as well. To really kick the decorations up a notch you can buy card-board cut-outs of the Super Mario characters which the kids can play and take pictures.
Another important consideration, if not the most important, is the cake. Often the cake depicts the entire theme and brings the party together. A good Mario cake has a few options which include using a Cake Pan mold to create Super Mario. The other options are buying cake image or cupcake image toppers which are placed directly on the icing of the cake. The images are pictures of all the characters of the video game. These cake toppers are great as they provide a good theme while not requiring too much extra work.
As any parent will tell you planning a party can be a lot of work. However, it doesn’t have to be if you prepare correctly. It is important to take a few things into consideration. First, prepare as much as possible before the party. This includes the food, gift bags, games, schedule, etc.. The next thing to realize is the fact that not everything will go right. Ideally everything will go down perfectly but you’re dealing with 5-20 kids who are all super excited about the party. The chances that something goes slightly wrong is quite high and you should try not to worry when too much when something does go wrong. It is important to enjoy your Super Mario Party as much as the kids!
