Believe it or not, turning 10 is often a designated a rite of passage by children. Of course, kids adore every one of their birthdays, but sometimes entering the double digits signifies the start of adulthood for the little ones. You can’t help but want to give them a big hug for being so adorable.

Because of this, a birthday party such as this one should be considered extremely special by loving parents. Your son or daughter is likely to be counting down the days until they can wake up and exclaim to the world “I’m 10 years old!” A party should definitely match their enthusiasm.

To begin, ask your child where they would like to have the event. A lot of girls might enjoy roller skating or painting parties, while boys may prefer to go bowling or play baseball. It’s their day, so try to find out how they envision their special affair.

Once you’ve got that squared away, try to go shopping for some incredible birthday decorations. These should stick to one particular theme, or better yet, match the locale where you are having the shindig.

For example, if your little girl decided she wants to slap on a pair of rollerblades and skate around a rink with a bunch of her best friends, try to find streamers, banners and birthday party supplies that call attention to the venue. Napkins and paper plates that have images of the 70s on them will really be great for the little ones, as this is when roller skating took off in pop culture.

If you’ve got a sports fan on your hands, birthday decorations should be easy. For instance, if your son decides he wants to head to the batting cages with his pals, make sure to buy banners and streamers with photos of his favorite team players. If you can find a bunch of baseball cards, put them in goody bags and hand them out to guests. Watch as a smile starts beaming on everyone’s face.

Once you’ve got the decorations squared away, it’s time to really get into the party-planning mood. This is where all the extra details come into play.

For example, why not buy some inflateable decor and place it around the event space? If you can find a blow up roller skating teen queen, your daughter is bound to go crazy for it. For your sports fan, a huge blow-up baseball bat is bound to create memories that will last a lifetime.

Remember, every birthday is important, but there’s something about turning 10 that sends kids into a tizzy. It’s the time that they can boast to their friends that they finally entered the double-digit years and prove that they are growing up. Try to make this bash a huge one – you won’t have to work this hard for at least a few years after it’s over!

There are a lot of party supplies you need and it can get difficult arranging them while juggling work and family life. Ordering online is a great solution, as, at just a small cost, you can have everything you need delivered to your home. So why waste precious time and energy running to a store when all you need to do is “click” and your problem will be solved?

How should I choose my Online Party Store?

Range of products

The online store should offer a wide range of products. If they have a limited number of items, then it is of no use, as you will not get the variety you are looking for. Parties in Packages have a good line of products. Check them out at www.partiesinpackages.com.au.

Browse

You should be able to browse through the items, as it is of no use if you are ordering from a list and you end up unhappy with what has been delivered to you. Most websites have images of all their products, so choose a store that displays all their products with all the details stated clearly.

Delivery Time

Check the website for its delivery info. See if they deliver to your area. Most companies’ deliver all over Australia, but it is better to enquire beforehand. Online stores specify the time they will take to pack your articles and then ship them. So make sure you give them that much timeframe. Also, choose according to the overseas delivery they offer if you are from another country.

Payments

Most online stores accept only credit card payments, as it ensures the payment being made. If you are okay with this arrangement, you should have no problem. Some companies even accept cheques and cash transfers, but please enquire beforehand and then decide.

Damaged Goods

Check out their damaged goods policy and read up about their guarantee terms. Many times in shipping and transfer there is a chance that some goods might get damaged. So confirm whether they take responsibility of broken goods or if you have to bear the costs yourself.

Customer Feedback

Customer feedback is the best way to find out if the company you are interested in is a good company and delivers good products. Testimonials let you know about the good work done by the store and increase your confidence in the company if you are a first timer. Of course, you should not blindly believe everything; take every precaution you can so as to avoid disappointment.

Cost of Products

Please compare costs with other online party stores so as to make sure you are getting the best deal. Many companies have discounts and deals going on. So, you should consider these deals if you think they are worth your while.

Word of Mouth

One of the best ways is to ask amongst friends and family for their recommendations, as they are good enough judges and will definitely help you.

Is there anything better than disco tunes? Whether you love to cut a rug or prefer to remain seated when the music gets going at a party, there’s no denying that that songs from the 70s are some of the most beat-friendly sounds.

Considering one of the major factors of a memorable party is a wild dance floor, those who are considering throwing a shindig might want to steer their event towards a far out theme – the disco era.

Disco parties aren’t difficult to plan, but they do take a little bit of time. If you set aside a few days and put your noggin to work, you’re bound to wind up with an event that people of all personalities will dig.

To start, purchase a bunch of disco party invitations. These should really evoke images and themes of the famous decade.

The seventies were when the Jackson 5 really skyrocketed to fame. Wouldn’t it be great to get an invitation with the talented brothers on it, each decked out in their bellbottom pants and wild hair? The move can be seen as both a funky way to get people excited as well as an tribute to the late Michael Jackson.

Also, Saturday Night Fever is one of the most infamous films to pay homage to the jivin’ era. If you can find invites that have John Travolta or even a silhouette of that infamous Dance Fever pose, snag those up immediately.

Next, try to locate some incredible disco decorations. Purchasing the right ones will really help your guests get in the mood to boogie.
For starters, gold records undoubtedly remind people of this amazing decade. This was when Mowtown Records really got going, and artists such as Marvin Gaye, The Supremes and Stevie Wonder accrued huge sales for the company. So, if you can get your hands on a bunch of faux-multi-platinum records and place them around the venue, go for it.

Finally, start thinking about some seriously amazing disco party supplies. A disco ball is completely necessary, and there are also other humorous additions party planners can buy. For example, wouldn’t it be great to do your friends a solid and purchase a disco ball piñata? Once the shindig starts wrapping up, feel free to hang it up and let everyone go crazy trying to break it to pieces. Of course, if you want to go a more simpler route, disco light-ups always work wonders.

Planning a disco party may take a few days, but the payoff will be huge. After everyone has their fill of spectacular appetizers, great drinks and burns off hundreds of calories dancing the night away, you can guarantee they’ll be excited for any event you plan in the future. When you send your next invitation in the mail you will truly be able to say “Be There or Be Square.”
