Sesame street is one of the most popular children’s television shows in history. The show has been such a success due to a combination of the entertainment, education and fun nature of the program. The show is a combination of a puppet and live action show where the puppets and humans interact in either educational or funny skits. Some of these skits include learning to count or learning what different items are around a neighborhood.

Sesame Street is also such a popular program due to it’s excellent recognizable cast of characters. Some of these characters include Count Dracula who teaches kids how to count. Another character is the Cookie Monster who is just that a cookie, monster. A final very popular character is Oscar the grouch who lives in a garbage can is always very grouchy. All these characters make the kids come back to see what they will get up to on the next episode!

A Sesame Street party, although not as popular as it once was, is a very good and entertaining party idea. The theme provides a wide array of party games, party favors, decoration ideas, food ideas and even gift ideas. We will discuss a few possible ideas for a fun and exciting Sesame Street Birthday Party.

When planning a party the first thing you want to consider is the decorations. What is the best way to convey the theme to your guests? The best way is to purchase a few themed party supplies which would include plates, napkins and cups. You can even buy a wall decoration which is placed directly on the wall which would really point out the theme. You can finalize the decorations with streamers and a few sesame street mylar balloons.

Next you’ll want to consider the food. With this theme you’ll want to ensure that you have lots of cookies and cake as the kids will be ready to indulge. However, to remain healthy you can include veggies and fruits. In fact, the food could be incorporated into the games. You could play a game where they must name the veggie and the number of veggies and they will earn a cookie. You will want to ensure that you have a few games for the kids to play as that’s part of the enjoyment for the kids!

Finally, you’ll want to consider the party favors. There are lots of options when thinking of party favors as long as you use your creativity and time. If you don’t have either then you can purchase pre-made party favors which the kids often like more as it’s specific to the party theme. This usually includes a themed box, a few sesame street items and a coloring book.

The final item to prepare is the cake. If you have baking and decorating skills then consider creating your own cake. However, more likely you can get a local bakery to create a specific Sesame Street cake with your child’s name on the cake. Now, don’t forget to enjoy yourself during the madness of the party!

Amnestic Carolers – Three Carolers who can’t seem to remember the lyrcis to the songs…They’ll have to make up their own.
