Information on Party Planning

Do you have an idea for a great party, but don’t know how to make it happen. Don’t fret, for you have come to the right place. Party planning is my game and information is forthcoming.

Party planning can be difficult if you don’t know how to begin. You may find yourself running around at the last minute for party supplies or maybe you forgot to send out the invitations. If this was to occur it would be definitely be the loneliest party I have ever heard of. In order to keep your party planning on track you will need to follow these steps.

1) Decide what type of party you want to have. If you haven’t already made a decision, make one now. Do you want a theme party. A few different types are: pool, barbeque, luau, construction, Halloween, Hollywood, Casino and Arabian Nights. Those are your most popular themes, just to name a few. There are many other types of parties. If you know what type of party you plan on throwing it will make it that much easier to prepare for.

2) Create a checklist. This should be second on the order of business. This is where you will outline the various phases of your planning. Once you have a piece of paper with the word ‘Checklist’ written on it you are ready for the next phase.

3) A guest list: This is an important part of your party planning. In order to move on to the other steps you must have a very good idea as to the amount of guests, the ages of the guests and the eating and drinking habits of the guests. For instance, if one of your invitees are vegetarian you will want to have something prepared especially for them. Don’t take anything for granted. After all, you are looking to have an absolute smash that everyone will enjoy.

4) Once you have your guest list prepared and written out on your checklist you will need to either send out invitations or do things the old fashioned way by using the phone. However, it is much classier and personalized if you send out invitations. You can either have them prepared by a professional or craft them yourself.

5) After a week or so goes by you should have a very good idea who is coming. Now is the time to go out and get your party supplies. There are ways of doing this that is tantamount to an exact science. It won’t be outlined here, but with the information you have about the number, age and eating and drinking habits of your guests you should be able to come up with the right amount of food and drink for everyone. Don’t cut yourself short. Buy plenty of snacks, and whatever else you may need. If you hired an outside caterer be sure to go over the guest list with them. They will want to know the amount of guests, but don’t forget to add any details they must know about, like ‘your Great Aunt is diabetic’ or something to that effect.

7) Food and beverages: The food is probably the greatest treasure you can have at any party, with the exception of alcohol, so make sure the preparations are done ahead of time. Have everything you need to avoid any last minute shopping, that way you can create your master piece without any untimely setbacks.

6) Decorating: Are you having the party inside or outside. If it is going to be indoors, be sure to have ample seating for everyone who agreed to come, plus a few extra chairs. Don’t leave someone standing because you didn’t expect them to come. Unless they told you specifically they weren’t going to make it, expect them. A good idea for decorating is to always use flowers. You can spice up your dining room, living room or any room in the house with a beautiful flowery ensemble set nicely in a watery vase.

The next phase of your party planning will be to have everything cleaned and ready. You are about to have a party and you want to have everything looking perfect. So do your cooking, then your cleaning and get yourself cleaned and shined. The guests are on their way and they are expecting to have a great time. It is up to you to make that happen. A good tip for any host is: a happy host makes a great host and a great host throws unbelievable parties. Have an awesome time.

Childrens parties and party supplies are married together synonymously.

Hosting a childrens party can be an exciting time for both you as a parent/guardian, or for a child who is the centre of attention on that special day. We all want whats best, but how do we make the best of the occasion.

1. decide where the party is to be held.

Indoor parties.

Party Themes are a great way to enjoy a childs party. What is the child into? spiderman, Barbie, Pirates, Scooby Doo? Most party shops will cater for many different themes. A whole range can be purchased online in many themes. Banners, Plates, cups, napkins, tablecover’s are just a few ideas each theme range can have. Costumes and Themed balloons are an idea to set a great party to remember

Depending on the childs age, a pinata party is generally a great party activity which all children can be involved with. Pinata’s are made in many designs, so finding one to suit should be fairly easy. Checkout online party supplies stores for different designs. Fill the pinata with lots of toys and sweets and hang it up with plenty of room to spare. The aim of the game is to hit the pinata with a plastic pinata stick as hard as the child can. If the pinata doesnt break, the child joins the back of the que for their next turn. If the pinata breaks, the sweets and party toys will fall out onto the ground. At this point, all the children scramble to collect as many items as possible. This marks the end of the game. Great fun for all

Outdoor Parties

Party themes may not be as effective for outdoor activities. Sure, the themed partyware can be set indoors and other attractions can be available outdoors. Bouncy castles are a great way to keep the children occupied, as long as they are supervised by a responsible adult.Bouncy castles accomodate various themes for all ages, and really tire the kids out. With reasonable prices, hiring a bouncy castle is a great way to enjoy a mess less kids party.

2. How many guests

Make sure the guests are invited formally with a party invitation. This gives the guest the all important facts about the occasion. Only when you get a reply can you count the exact numbers if guests on the list. Purchase only the right amount of partyware for the occasion. Over allocating can be a costly affair. Each child usually has one party plate, cup, hat, blowout, party bag and piece of cake. These are the essentials to purchase as a minimum for each child. Balloons, party bag fillers can be bought form many superstores and party stores.

Take a look online for further party ideas and I hope your party occasion is a great success

Suddenly the cat is out of the bag, the surprise is no more and your left shaking your head. The question keeps arising, “Who told?” The answer to that question is simple. It doesn’t matter at this point, for your preparations for a surprise went for naught. However, everything else is still in place, so don’t let yourself get down, surprise yourself and have a great time anyway.

Countless times people have gone out of their way to throw that special someone a surprise party and have it blown by a slight slip of the tongue. This is why whenever you decide on a surprise, your surprise party planning should hold a backup plan. Let’s say the party was to be held at a restaurant and the guest of honor knew days in advance of what was in store, but what he didn’t know was that a very old friend from out of state was going to be there. Something small such as this is always a great way to ensure your surprise party still held some surprise even after it was discovered.

There are not too many parties that say, ‘we care’, as much as a surprise party does. It illustrates to the guest of honor that everyone, especially the host went that extra mile to make the arrangements and actually keep a secret. It is a great feeling to know people care so much and go out of there way for such an involved surprise. Most people love to be shocked in such a way, and when there is beer, wine and food they love it that much more.

As it is with most parties, the best place to start your planning is by picking the venue. It is obviously much easier to create a surprise if it’s done from someplace besides home. Trying to make a success out of your surprise party planning when it is being planned for home is much more difficult. There are many things to consider when making preparations for a home based surprise. The food must be stored elsewhere, preferably at a neighbor’s house. By keeping the food close by ensures it will still be hot when the serving takes place. The decorations, beverages, amongst other things can be hidden, but why take any chances in spoiling the arrangement.

After all, you must go out of your way to send out the invitations, either by phone, personal invites or by communicating directly. When planning a surprise party a direct invitation gives you the best chance of creating the air of secrecy you want all your guests to feel. This is a party where everyone is involved, even if it’s only to make a stir when the guest of honor arrives on scene. So if you know of someone on your guest list who loves to chatter and can’t keep a secret, pay closer attention to them. By singling them out, you can easily make them feel like an important aspect of the party’s coming success.

For the most part you can go about your surprise party planning like you would any party. The venue may be different and it probably should be if you plan on succeeding with your shock and awe. The key is to keep the cat locked up. You don’t want him jumping out of the bag long before the lights are switched on and everyone yells and screams out that magical word. This is an honor that will keep for the rest of his/her life. And if there is something more, like a marriage proposal or a huge bonus in pay, the surprise would be so much greater.
